The aim of the new concept of the Gropius building in Berlin is to create space for visitors to approach art from a new perspective, and from April to May 2019, the Gropius building has been hosting an exhibition of the special kind: "A rendezvous with the Garden of Earthly Delights". The principal exhibits are a contemporary copy of the original painting by Hieronymus Bosch and the Leya bench, upholstered with an aromatic, bright green leather cover intended to act as an invitation to visitors to take a seat - and the time to discover the details of the picture.» More
Dinner with SALON at Galerie König, Berlin
On 14th March, Galerie König in Berlin hosted a dinner of the very special kind in the old St. Agnes church - with Freifrau and SALON magazine. Together with a range of guests from the worlds of art, fashion, and design, we celebrated women in art as SALON dedicated a picture spread to them in its latest Issue. The evening was based around the idea of a "comfortable museum bench" - a call to spend more time with and in front of art. We took this as a cue to place a series of seats around the galery which, at least symbolically, were an invitation to guess to take the time and leisure to let works of art exert an influence on them.
We would like to say a special word of thanks to Ruinart Champagne for providing drinks, to Jörg Ehrlich and Otto Drögsler of Meissen Porzellan for the breathtaking table decorations, to Christina Sennlauband Dior Perfumes for intriguing evening entertainment - and, last but not least, to Dalad Kambhu from the Kin Dee restaurant for a fantastic menu!
